My advice and tips for work at home success
- You must treat it like a regular job. Have a regular schedule and be productive.
- Know when to check out. Sometimes working from home can turn into a 24/7 job. Learn when to check out and take a break.
- Have a designated space to work. Set up a home office if you have an extra room or at least set up in a quiet space where you know you can be productive.
- Let family and friends know your hours. Otherwise, you may get too many interruptions and get no work done.
- Set goals for your work and review them regularly just like you would at a job away from home. For goal planning download my free goal planner here.
- Don’t give up. If you’re working on your own business, it can take time to make things happen and see success. You have to put in the groundwork first and then be able to reap the results of you hard labor.
- Build a network of people you can interact with even though you may not see them everyday. Social media and other networking groups is a great place to meet others with common goals and industries so you can still be connected to people when working at home.
